Digi Choosday - Winnie Mermazing - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mermaid themed card.

I decided to use an image from the Winnie Mermazing collection - this is Collecting shells to create a pretty 5" x7" or A7 card.

I chose one of the papers from the collection to layer onto my card cutting out two circular apertures, one for a sentiment and another for the sweet dolphins (coloured with promarkers) which is from the Coral Mermaid collection.  I used teal foil for the sentiment and then adhered these onto the card base under the circular apertures.

The main image was resized along with a number of seashells before printing out and colouring in with promarkers and fussy cutting out, layering at the bottom of my card panel.

To finish off my project I added some clear sparkle pen to the shells and her tail and teal confetti  around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #786 - Birthdays - Sponsored by SheepSki Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - I'm a little late posting my blog today as we were caught up in the total power outage across Spain yesterday which was a very strange thing to experience....We are all so dependent on the power network for everything we do.

We lost power around 12 pm yesterday and it didn't come back on until around 2:30 am today.  We're not in a bad location to be without any power at all but the  worst part was not knowing what had happened as there were no telephones,  mobiles etc. either.

All that being said it was nice to have a relaxing afternoon/evening reading (until it was too dark to see LOL) with no iPads etc

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Birthdays' has been chosen by Elaine for team 2 and is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs. The online Etsy store is now sadly closed but the lucky winner will be sent a link to download their chosen 3 images.

For my very clean and simple card today I chose to use a pretty digital Cupcake image.

We all need Birthday cards and I wanted to create something pretty but simple for todays card and I'm really happy with the result, keeping a simple colour palette, pretty check paper and lots of lovely white space.

The image was resized to suit the A6 card and a digital sentiment added to the panel before printing on alcohol friendly card stock.  I then coloured with my Promarkers.

The finishing touches were some white gel pen highlights and glitter stickles to the flower centres.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ðŸ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Rainbow cards - Happy Days - A5 Stamp Set- Digital Stamp Set - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday....I hope the week has been fun for you, the weather is still being very unpredictable here which is great for the garden with all the rain but not good for the Semana Santa festivities here in our town which kick off today.

Fingers crossed the Easter Processions don't have to be curtailed due to the wind and rain.

I'm here today with two sweet rainbow themed cards for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using stamps from the new Happy Days collection, they are available as A5 Polymer stamp sets and also as a digital stamp format giving so much versality now available in the Etsy shop

I started off by resizing the circular sentiments on my compute before printing out and then stamping the basket of flowers and the yummy looking cake onto card stock and then coloured using my Polychromos pencils.

I used some pretty dies from my stash to die cut the two images out on white and cream card.

Next I created my rainbow backgrounds, cutting 1/2 " strips of card and adhering this to a panel of card in two patterns before die cutting with a fancy scalloped edge.

Finishing touches were some confetti or sequins around the designs, clear sparkle to the flowers and the rainbow and glossy accents to the cherry on the cake.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Perfect Peony - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a thank you card but not a square or a rectangle.

So I chose to create a circular rocker style card - these are so simple to make and really effective too.  The finished card fits a standard 6" x 6" envelope, so perfect to pop in the post.

I created the base of my card, die cutting  a fancy edged circle from pink card stock and then folding this in half, scoring and burnishing.

I decided for my main image to use the beautiful pre-coloured Perfect Peony digi deal, resizing this to fit my card before printing out 3 times.  I chose a sentiment from the Honey pie Just Lovely greeting bundle and added this to my base layer. These images are perfect when you don't have much time but want to make a beautiful but quick card.

I used a torn edge die to cut out the base image and then fussy cut out extra flowers, decoupaging with foam for dimension.

To finish off my project I added some ultrafine flower soft to the centre of the flowers and some confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ðŸ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #784 - Easter - Sponsored by DisDigiStamps

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope that your week has started well.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by DisDigiStamps and our theme of 'Easter ' (Well it had to be really LOL) this week was chosen for team 2 by Me.

I don't make lots of Easter cards each year but this one was such a sweet image I couldn't resist it.

There are some absolutely gorgeous Easter themed digital stamps in the Etsy shop so I would recommend taking a look.

I chose to use a really sweet image that Di very kindly gave to her Facebook group member as a freebie in March. If you are not a member of the group then why not pop over and join the group.... here is the link to the group

My card today  is a smaller A6 size - we are all really conscious of postage these days sadly so I find I'm making more and more smaller cards but they are so sweet it doesn't really matter.

I resized the sweet chicks image to suit my card adding a couple of sentiments to the main panel before printing out on my LaserJet printer as I wanted to do some foiling later on.  After colouring with Promarkers, I fussy cut out the top of the image as shown in the design.

The fabulous sentiments are from Polkadoodles from the Spring into Easter  collection

Once cut out I then applied black foil to the whole image and to the extra sentiment for the top of the card

For my background I have a layer of pretty lemon polka dot paper from my stash and then adhered the partially cut out image over the top with foam tape.

To finish off the card I added some gold confetti around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

With Love - Hi Honey - A5 Stamp Set - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday....I hope the weekend has been fun.

I'm here today with another cute card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using stamps  from the new A5 Polymer stamp sets Hi Honey available in the Etsy shop

My absolute favourite childhood bear was of course Winnie the Pooh so I decided to create a card based around Pooh and his absolute love of honey and of course those important little bees.

I stamped several images from the set along with some pots of honey and coloured these with Promarkers to resemble Pooh bear fussy cutting them out.

I chose a patterned paper from the Craft Consortium collection Cottage Garden for the background and then from a panel of yellow card die cut hexagonal apertures before adhering these to an A7 or 5" x 7" card base....I wanted it to look like the bees were busy the the hive making their honey.

Next I die cut the letters for Hi Honey and adhered these to the card using foam tape.

Finally the little bears and the bee were added around the honeycomb.

The sweet little With Love sentiment is from the Flower Pockets set of polymer stamps

Finishing touches were some gold confetti around the design, clear sparkle to th bees wings and glossy accents to the bears nose.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Noodle Panda Card with Leaves - Party Like a Panda - with Polkadoodles

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a card with a Panda or a Bear and include leaves

I decided to create a square 6" x 6" pop up frame card today and use my favourite Noodle Panda collection

I created the pop up frame for my base card from dark green card stock and cut a circular aperture in the centre of this. Next I layered a peice of leafy green paper over the pop up panel cutting a slightly larger circular aperture in the centre to green a border of dark green card around it.

Before adhering the pop up frame to the card blank I added a different leafy paper into the centre of the panel - this would show through the aperture.

Next I resized the Noodle image image in my graphics software before printing out, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.  The cut out image was then adhered behind the aperture.

I printed out two sentiments from the Noodle collection and foiled these before adding to the card using foam tape.

I used a couple of dies to cut out leaves from green card adding distress ink to the edges for shading and colour and then added these to the design, tucking them behind the sentiments.

To finish off my project I added some pale green iridescent sequins around the design and some white gel pen highlights on the image.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.
